Inside the Hidden Lives of Britain’s Homeless.

ree

The film "Someone's Daughter, Someone's Son" was directed by Lorna Tucker (Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist; Amà). Once a young runaway sleeping on the streets of London, she is now a prominent filmmaker. In this candid, powerful, and motivational documentary, she revisits her old haunts and interviews homeless individuals, both past and present, about why, 25 years later, a record number of people are still forced to live on the streets of Britain. As we hear the life stories of remarkable people and discover how the system has helped and failed them, this unvarnished, personal, and unforgettable film poses the question, "Why hasn't public policy put this issue firmly in the past?" What can we do to help? And what role can people who have been homeless play in implementing solutions?
